What is an antidetect browser?
An antidetect browser (also called a fingerprint browser or multi-login browser) lets you run multiple isolated browser profiles, each with its own fingerprint configuration — so accounts and sessions are less likely to be linked by simple device signals.
Browser fingerprints in one minute
Sites can observe many signals beyond cookies: user agent, canvas/WebGL output, fonts, timezone, WebRTC IP leaks, hardware concurrency, and more. A normal Chrome install tends to look like… one persistent device. Antidetect tools generate distinct, consistent profiles so Profile A and Profile B do not obviously share the same machine signature.
Who actually needs one?
- Agencies managing many client ad accounts
- Ecommerce teams operating multiple storefronts or marketplaces
- Affiliate / media buyers separating funnels
- Automation engineers who need Playwright/Puppeteer against isolated contexts
If you only need a second Gmail on a shared laptop, a plain profile or privacy browser may be enough. Antidetect tools shine when scale, isolation, and team workflow matter.
What they do not magically fix
- Bad or datacenter proxies on sensitive platforms
- Copy-paste behavior, identical content, or obvious bot patterns
- Policy violations — tools do not make banned activity “allowed”
